We were so excited to plan such a wonderful wedding Straight Out of a Fantasy Tale! For couples who dream of a Dungeons & Dragons wedding, a Lord of the Rings-inspired celebration, or a Baldur’s Gate-style romance, U&M’s wedding at Rowena’s Inn at Sandpiper Resort in Harrison Mills, BC, was nothing short of legendary.
Set against the stunning backdrop of lush forests, a riverfront view, and a historic estate, their wedding day felt like a real-life fantasy adventure complete with themed décor, elaborate costumes, and a love story worthy of an epic quest.
A Love Story Written in the Stars, U&M’s journey began years ago when they met in high school, bonding over their shared love of fantasy worlds and tabletop RPGs. Over time, their friendship grew into something much deeper—an unbreakable party of two.
As their Vancouver wedding officiant and photographer, we had the honor of both leading their ceremony and capturing every magical moment of their special day. An Enchanted Ceremony with a Storybook Touch. Their ceremony was infused with playful references to their adventuring spirit: The bride, the Rogue, the thief who stole the grooms heart. And the groom, Paladin, the knight in shining armour, promising to protect her for eternity. Their love story, like any great quest, wasn’t without its twists. When Micah first asked Ursula to dinner, nerves got the best of him as he didn’t specify whether it was a date or just a friendly outing. Confusion led to some initial awkwardness, but soon, he mustered his Paladin-like courage to ask her out again. This time, as a proper first date. Their wedding day wasn’t just about saying “I do”. It was about completing one chapter and beginning the next in their lifelong adventure.
Fantasy-Themed Decor & Costumes. From the moment guests arrived, the atmosphere was pure fantasy magic. Every detail was carefully curated to bring U&M’s vision to life:
